I have sold one of my listed items and I want to remove it from the site, how do I do that?
If you log into the site using the username and password you used when you were adding your listing you will see a menu on the left of the page saying 'My account', if you click that you will see all the items you have live on the site, just click the red X next to the item you want to delete.

Does the site carry listings for items like car chairs ?
You should think twice about buying certain items second-hand.  Remember some things relate directly to the safety or health of your child.  It is down to each individual to decide whether or not to buy any item secondhand.  Totalbaby will not restrict the items available for sale on the site unless they were completely unsuitable.  If you are in anyway unsure about an item do not buy it.

I am trying to upload a photo but I am getting a message telling me the photo file size is too big.
The maximum size for a photo is 3mb, if possible try and keep your photo under this size. If this is not possible, please email  your photo with the name of the item you are selling to ask@totalbaby.net and we will upload it for you.

Use a photograph - This is so important!  If you include a photograph it is more likely to sell, it really is that simple!

Price the item realistically and be prepared to negotiate - Perhaps you have listed something on the site and it hasn't sold? This might be because it has been priced too high, perhaps it was expensive and you don't want to lose too much in the resale. Its important to decide if you want to sell the item, or if you rather hold on to it - if you want to sell, lower your price.  If you are willing to negotiate state so in your item description - e.g. ONO (or near offer).

Be honest about the condition of the item - if there are any chipped paint or bumps on the item say so, people will appreciate your honesty. Also, don't forget to clean the item you want to sell, it will make it more appealing!

Don't forget the obvious -  Give people as much information about the item as you would like.  When it comes to babies colour is quite important to people, so don't forget this small but obvious fact.

Give a clear description - what colour and size is the item, if it is a stair gate for example, size is a useful piece of information.  Try and consider what you would like to know about this particular item if you were buying it again.

Arranging to meet - when meeting a buyer or seller try and meet them in a neutral location during the day.  If this is not possible and you are going to meet in the seller's home make sure someone knows where you are going or you have someone with you.  The same applies if you are the person selling the item.

Legals
Once you have bought an item you have no legal come back, so check goods before you pay for them. 

We recommend you only deal with local buyers who can pay you the correct amount in cash.

There isn't a suitable category for me to list my item in
If you think there is a category missing, please email the site and if we agree, then a new category will be added.

I have submitted an item to the site but it hasn't appeared yet.
Ads are manually reviewed before they go live on the site.  We try and review ads within 24 hours of being submitted.

I want to change my user name - how do I do that?
Unfortunately its not possible to do that, so choose your username carefully as it will appear on the site next to any ads you post.
